Another carrot

You've all supported me throughout my injury and disappointment in a false start on my goals.

I'm better, for sure, but it will take more time than I want to give it.  I'm tired of sitting on the couch. I'm tired of being drugged and down. I'm tired of feeling stuck.

Sooooo, I have another carrot dangled before me.

If I behave over the weekend and keep icing, keep resting, and keep following doctors orders, I will get to see my sibling and kids on Monday!

Now there is a great incentive to continue getting stronger.

Amy, being good and staying on the couch!

  2. Hi Amy, you got this girl. I know it's frustrating, but hang in there, though not as quickly as you would like perhaps, you will heal.

    Wonderful incentive!

    1. It took 30 seconds to cause the injury. I thought there was supposed to be balance in the universe? Shouldn't it take just 30 seconds to heal?! Now wouldn't that be amazing. :)

    1. I'd probably pay more attention if he'd dangle a large Almond Joy in front of my face!! :)

  4. I think that carrots are good for you, Amy! :) Be a good girl now. You are doing great! You know, you don't want to mess things up and then have to back track on your recovery, right? You've got this! Have a good weekend! Many hugs,

    1. You are right, Katie. I really need to remember that by taking it slow now, I'll ultimately get well faster. If I push it, which we've all done before, I risk it taking longer. Have a great weekend!

  5. Amy,
Nothing like a carrot dangling right there. You can do this. Hooray!

  6. Stay "adjusted" as Sam says. My advice is don't start eating Crunchy Cheetos while keeping the knee up and on ice. I fell into that pit during recuperation from a knee surgery. I was up 7 pounds and had very orange fingers.

  7. That's funny. Eric's line is, "Stay off the fringes." Have you seen the Cheetos commercial where the husband/Dad invented a machine to see who in the family was eating his Cheetos? Busted. Looks like that would be you and me!
