The Middle

Last night I parked the car in the middle of the garage so your space would only be half empty.

Last night I slept in the middle of the bed so your side wouldn't be quite so cold.

Last night I grabbed your shirt from the middle of the hamper and wore it so your scent would surround me.

Last night I woke in the middle of my dreams and wondered if you too were dreaming of me.

Last night I did all those things in the middle and with the break of dawn I realized, though we may be apart, how lucky we are to be in the middle and not at the end.

    1. Thanks Abby. Had a great day at work because my boss was out. Very productive and I was happy. Then, at 7pm on a Friday, he sends me a complaint. This time, he meant it as a way to stand up for me but it just took me over the edge because it was generated from the only other person at work I have issues with. GRRR. I need a spanking just to come off the stress. Missing Eric AGAIN.

  3. Hi Amy, :) Good job with the positive thinking! Terps shares a great deal of positive things to think about. I wonder if a read over there would help.

My mother always told me that when you are feeling down and out, go do something for someone else. It is something that I have taught my own kids. I think that she was very wise. That might be helpful.

Do you knit? It is very therapeutic, and rewarding. You meet some lovely people if you find a little group in the eves or on the weekend. There is always time to pick up a little knitting for a few minutes of R&R. Feel good! Many hugs,

    1. I don't knit and I've had the day that with knitting needles in hand, someone might be in danger. LOL
Thanks for the sweet comment. Your mom is right. I always feel better when I help someone else. This weekend, I think I might go help at a local shelter. Might take away the pain of this week.

    1. Thank you Blondie. I wonder if Eric will think that when he finally gets home and I've gotten used to sleeping in the middle of the bed. ;)

    1. I hope when Sam is away, it is helpful. I do miss Eric immensely but ultimately, his being away is just a reminder of how grand life is when he's home. Never take him for granted...
